When the bets on cotton rates were banned, this man was the person who started the idea of declaring the opening and closing rates of imaginary products. He would write numbers from 0-9 on a piece of paper, and then put them into an earthen pot, and then a chit would be drawn from that pot and the winning number would be declared. Over the years, the practice was modified and the numbers were rather drawn out from a deck of cards. It was this Indian Satta King who introduced the Worli Matka in 1964.
Indian Satta King came into existence from the Dhanji Street in Mumbai Devi, where Khatri started his business. Gradually this business grew and Dhanji Street became a hub for placing bets. When the craze for satta increased amongst people, the number of people placing bets also increased, and this is when the indian satta king Rattan Khatri decided on starting his own syndicate. In this, three cards were drawn instead of one and results were declared in front of people.
